ARTS 2314 - Design Communications II 3 Credits (2 hrs. lec., 4 hrs. lab.) This course is an in-depth study and exploration of graphic design as a creative and problem-solving tool of visual communication. A translation of ideas and concepts into comprehensible visual language is emphasized. Typography, semantics, and computer and technical processes used in design will be stressed. This course is an introduction to the techniques and processes of the print media. The students will also be introduced to historical and aesthetic issues.
